What Are the Roads Like?

All of our signature bicycling routes include a combination of lightly trafficked country roads as well as busier thoroughfares including Hwy. 29 and Silverado Trail where there is a 6-8 foot wide shoulder. We have been biking safely along these routes since 1987.

If you're looking for a bicycling experience that is entirely on quieter country roads, we recommend considering our Classic Sonoma Valley Bike Tour (our Sonoma location is less than ~30 min drive from Napa).

There are no designated bike paths that are completely removed from traffic - although the Napa Valley Vine Trail Coalition is working diligently to change that! Visit vinetrail.org for details and to lend your support.

Wine tasting appointments are finalized 5-6 days ahead of your bike tour. Therefore, it's difficult to predict exactly which wineries you'll be visiting any earlier.
