Cycling IN the Vineyards Bike Tour
It will happen. You will arrive in wine country and find yourself experiencing the urge to jump out of the car and run through the rows of grapevines. Lucky for you, the Cycling "IN" the Vineyards Tour gives you the chance to do precisely that - only you'll get to do it on bikes, which is even better!
On this tour, you'll venture the the Carneros District, a region that's as a famous for its picture postcard views as it is for milder-climate varietals such as Chardonnay and Pinor Noir. Precious few wineries allow off-road biking through their vineyards - making this truly is a unique experience that is not to be missed! One of the vineyard properties you'll bike through borders a federally designated wildlife preserve, home to an array of wetland birds including herons, mallards and egrets.
Before you get rolling, your Tour Guide will ensure that you're completely comfortable with the fit and handling of your bike. With a casual pace and frequent stops, the emphasis is on enjoying the scenery and introducing you to boutique and family-owned wineries along the way. You’ll pedal an average of 2-4 miles between each winery visit. A highlight of your day will be enjoying a catered picnic lunch served at a winery overlooking the vineyards.
